# M01-L02 exercise — Tokens, context, and generation

**Start:** M01-L01 and the original BenchNote passage in Chapter 2.

Create `context-comparison.md`. Save a without-reference answer and a with-reference answer, or analyze Chapter 2's original instructional alternatives. Repeat the with-reference request once using the same passage.

List whether each answer correctly handles invalid input, states the valid boundary, preserves Celsius, and identifies unspecified recovery. Distinguish wording differences from changed technical claims. Explain in three sentences what this small comparison establishes and what it cannot establish. Do not score a response as wrong merely because it declines to guess before receiving the fictional specification.
