M06-L03 exercise — Report current data accurately

Starting checkpoint: CP05. Suggested time: 45–60 minutes.

Preserve the baseline normal replay and attempt the recorded target build. In a disposable copy, add Boolean current to each sample JSON object using the snapshot's existing flag. Keep acquisition, policy, timing, target, dependencies, and all existing fields unchanged. Update the reporting description.

Run normal and stale-recovery fixtures. Preserve full output and exit values. Parse the JSON and confirm the eight stale-fixture flags: true, true, true, false, true, false, true, true. Confirm the field type is Boolean; for a parsed sample, $sample.current -is [bool] should be true. Explain why FAULT/recovering can coexist with current true.

Cross-build the modified source and record its actual result or the precise missing dependency. Inspect the final diff before saving it. Submit the bounded patch, updated contract, baseline/modified outputs, command receipts, and a limitation statement. Do not use a reference log as proof that your local executable ran.
